Causes of Deafness

Prolonged exposure to sounds that exceed 90 decibels such as aircraft engines, firearm shots, nightclubs and factories, cause deafness that can be momentary or permanent, depending on the time and intensity of the noise.
Deafness is caused by various factors such as hereditary factors, malformations of the inner, middle or outer ear, poorly managed treatments or infections originating in the respiratory system.
A loud sound such as a bullet at very close range can cause the membrane to rupture. that divides the middle and outer ear, as well as destroying cells essential for auditory function. People who work in centers with too much noise are prone to losing this capacity, so they must observe safety rules among which it stands out, do not work more than eight hours a day to more than 90 decibels.
Said deafness does not present total since it can begin with a slight buzzing in the ear, which evolves to become an annoying pain. It is not always curable, but sometimes the tinnitus it causes can be eliminated. According to the level at which the damage is located, it can be solved with a surgical intervention or treated with medications and in the last of the cases the affected person can make use of devices that amplify the sound.

The first manifestation of hearing loss in both ears is the lack of perception of medium sounds such as talks and music at normal volume.
