East sport It is practiced with a stick and presents different versions: on skates, on grass, on ice and Lacrosse. Other forms of hockey are less well known, such as the one practiced in the Beach, floorball or skater hockey.
On grass
Two teams of eleven players face each other and the objective of the game is to introduce the ball with the stick into the opposing goal. Its modern version began in England in the late 19th century and has been an Olympic sport since 1908. Like football, voluntary fouls committed within the area are penalized with a penalty or shoot-out (involuntary fouls are punished with a corner penalty).

Although it is not an Olympic sport, in the 1992 Barcelona Games it was practiced as an exhibition modality. The Spanish team is the one that has won the most world championships.
Lacrosse
Two teams of ten players pass the ball using a stick with a net at the end and with the aim of getting the ball into the opponent's goal. The first to use these sticks were the Huron Indians, who in their warfare threw stones with them.
Over time the French turned it into a new sport and it was an Olympic discipline in 1904 and 1908.
