Accentuation that implies, either the placement of the orthographic accent on the corresponding vowel or the enhancement of a syllable that leads us to pronounce it with greater emphasis in relation to the The rest of those that accompany it, constitutes one of the most important actions that is within the orbit of grammar and as such is very important for the satisfactory use of the language in question. We call the first situation a tonal accent while the other accent mark.
The I respect of the rules that systematize the accentuation of words will help us not only to have a writing correct but also to be understood in a compliant way both when we speak and when we write. Because when, for example, an accent is not well located, the meaning of a phrase or a word may change completely, or failing that, it will make it difficult to understand the interlocutor.
Because when the accents or accents are well placed the text will not present ambiguity and it can be understood without difficulties.
Unfortunately, in recent years, instead of showing improvements in this aspect of grammar, many setbacks and although we do not want to blame only the development of new technologies and new modalities of communication that you are imposed have undoubtedly contributed to the incorrect simplification of some spelling rules, including accents.
If we start to review communications via email, social networks, text messages or chat, we will find that there is practically no use of the accent. In this sense, it is argued that the speed with which this type of communication moves makes people ignore some basic rules.
But of course, we cannot accept it in any way as mitigating, because beyond all, not placing the accent where it corresponds constitutes a spelling mistake.
On the other hand, the lack of correct spelling practice in the school and the lack of reading can constitute the other causes of errors in spelling matter.
The complications that usually derive from this incorrect use of the accent, for example, is that at a word that was not placed the corresponding accent can be given another meaning than in reality have. For example: Juan rose to fame with his debut is not correct since the accent is missing in the o: he jumped.
