We use the adjective admissible to indicate that something is acceptable or valid for some reason. The qualification of something as admissible (for example, a conduct) implies that you meet certain requirements or conditions. The requirements can be of a legal or of an order moral.
Admissible and inadmissible evidence in the field of justice
When judging someone, a judge has to be based on proven facts. However, not all the proven facts are legally admissible. It should be noted that the taking of evidence must be done within the framework of the law, since otherwise the evidence will be considered inadmissible.
This circumstance generates curious and paradoxical situations, since there may be conclusive evidence against someone but it may not be valid. legally because the law considers them inadmissible for some reason (because of how they have been obtained or because they go against legal guarantees established). From a legal point of view, only certain types of evidence are allowed.
Some procedures laws are valid and others are not, a circumstance that affects the resources (only some appeals are admissible under the law).
We consider the behavior of others admissible or inadmissible based on our moral principles
If I affirm that not paying taxes is inadmissible behavior, I am expressing two possible ideas:
1) which is an action against the law and
2) that it seems morally unacceptable to me not to comply with tax obligations.
Consequently, my statement has a legal and a moral dimension. Our moral principles are what allow us to say that something is good or bad, that is, admissible or inadmissible
Behaviors considered good and associated with a certain moral value are admissible (the Justice, loyalty or generosity). Behaviors valued as immoral, unfair, unsupportive or selfish are inadmissible. However, it is sometimes difficult to determine whether or not something is morally admissible. If we think about euthanasia, there are people who support the right to die with dignity (they consider it ethically acceptable) while for other people euthanasia is totally unacceptable.
In language colloquial it is common to hear the exclamation "! It is inadmissible ". It is normally used to indicate that a situation is totally unfair.
