The "Knight in Rusty Armor" is a wonderful, magical book; is a story full of symbolism that transports you to another world where the author encourages us to search and knowledge of ourselves, thereby rescuing our true selves from the darkness where we have it submerged; It is a pleasant and simple reading with a deep teaching.
Unfortunately we live in a society where appearance is the most important thing, where we dedicate ourselves to forming a false image (armor) of ourselves that is pleasant to others, that allows everyone to accept us and see us as something great, as good, generous and loving; We raise a barrier around us that leads us to not be authentic, to completely ignore ourselves and that makes us still believe in the image that we present to others, that prevents us from really knowing and valuing ourselves as we are, unique and extraordinary people, as the book says, beautiful, innocent and perfect people, that is our potential.
We must make the decision to remove our armor as the Knight did, to get rid of our own brakes, of our fears to face reality; walk along the path of truth to find ourselves, know ourselves, love ourselves and thus be able to love others, because although many times we we refuse to accept it, we all need others to grow as people and get out of the darkness in which we live, we must allow them to help us and help U.S. By wearing the armor we forget about it, we become totally insensitive to what happens to our around, to the extent that we no longer even remember how things feel and we don't differentiate good from wrong.
Taking off the armor corresponds to each one, it is not an easy job, it requires a lot of willpower and work constant internal effort to be authentic, to face and finally defeat our dragon with daring, will and knowledge.
A part of the book that caught my attention and that is when the Knight meets Merlin and he tells him that he has been missing his whole life and the Knight. he gets angry and would gladly leave, but his weakness is such that it is impossible for him and Merlin wisely tells him that a person cannot run and learn at the same time weather; This part makes me reconsider the fact that we live in a hurry and we don't give ourselves time to stop to reflect, to get to know ourselves, we forget to take care of ourselves, to give ourselves time.
