The fantastic spread of the internet had an impact on journalism
The tremendous spread of Internet reached all orders and levels of life, and of course, journalism, an activity professional so relevant in these times of today and forever, it could not be left out, margin of this advance that the internet has achieved in the lives of people all over the world.
A journalism that is made and disseminated through the network of networks
So, in the specific case of journalism, the arrival of the internet influenced in such a way that it has generated a specific modality such as Digital Journalism, which is characterized precisely by developing in the network of networks. In other words, this type of journalism is produced and disseminated entirely via the internet.
The fantastic development that new technologies reached in the last decades of the last century and so far this 21st century fantastically promoted the creation of a journalism that has the internet as its main framework and medium.
Traditional media move to the web
The means of communication massive like television, radio and press graph, in the face of the tremendous advance of the internet, they did not want to lose in any way the benefits that this new medium generated as a result of the acceptance popular, and that is why they also decided to venture into it and changed their ways of expression and their genres to the web.
Today, newspapers, TV channels, radios, among others, have their own web spaces in which they develop digital journalism. Today it is possible that we can inform ourselves directly through the internet by entering through the web, with computer or with mobile devices, to the pages of the newspapers, or to the news channels, among other options.
A space that also generates its own information
Even, we must emphasize that many news are generated today on the web itself and from there they shoot to the traditional media. Social networks like Twitter and Facebook they are constant generators of journalistic information that will later be raised by television, radio and the press written, which echo the information that is generated first in these internet spaces so popular today day.
While many predicted that this advancement of the internet would end traditional media such as newspapers and TV, this has not happened far from it and it is not expected that this could happen. The various media that display journalism coexist harmoniously and, as we have already said, they nurture each other.
