The city of Pisa is one of the most famous cities in Italy due to the presence of its incredible leaning tower, which is one of the most important tourist attractions in that country. Pisa is part of the province of Tuscany, a region in western Italy with its shores bathed by the Tyrrhenian Sea. Pisa is located in the Bankright of the river Arno that crosses the north of Italy. This city has a total area of 182 square kilometers while its population it has more than 87 thousand inhabitants.
The city of Pisa was founded in antiquity, believing although not for sure that the founding of the city occurred at some point in the 5th century BC. The city was of great importance during the period of Roman empire and also during the long Middle Ages, especially from the eleventh century in which Pisa achieved significant commercial and maritime growth due to its easy access to the sea and other navigation courses. At the end of the 13th century Pisa would enter a long period of decline that would make it resurface only two centuries later.
The famous Tower of Pisa or Leaning Tower began to be built in the 12th century and since then it has become one of the most significant and visited elements of this city. However, it is not the only element of interest since the city is surrounded by beautiful buildings, squares and squares, monuments and churches that give it a identity unique and very rich.
Due to its location, Pisa has a weather pleasant that is known, precisely, as Mediterranean. This climate means that the temperatures in summer are high but that the environment stay cool thanks to the proximity to the sea. On winter temperatures can be low but not aggressive.
