In a broad sense, the term collective refers to that of the community or related to a group of individuals.
That is why the word collective is recurrently used to refer to that group or set of people who hold common interests, that is, they work, care, are motivated and share the same objectives or topics of interest. In this type of group where the collective is the maximum authority, both political and social power is exercised in a shared way, decisions are submitted to discussion and then they reach consensus and the principles will always tend towards equality of opportunities. Immediately beside this we find the concept of collective consciousness developed by the French sociologist Émile Durkheim who was especially concerned with describing how a society can share common values.
While, for the Grammar, the collective word in relation to a name or a noun will be the word expressed in singular allows us to express a group or collection of objects, people, the like, animals, among others, certainly opposing individual names
. For example, rector is a collective type name, instead rector refers to an individuality.And the other of the widely spread uses that we find of the term is that of synonym of bus, mostly used in some countries of Latin America, in which, to the type of transport public land of people through specially built and equipped vehicles is popularly called collectives.
The group in Latin America has more than anything an urban use, on the one hand, users use the buses to move between small and medium distances such as, from their homes to their jobs; and on the other hand an interurban use, that is, when traveling greater distances, for example, from a Province to another through the provincial routes of country in question.
Their capacity can vary from a minimum of 10 passengers to a maximum of 120. In the groups that circulate in countries like Argentina, where its use by the inhabitants is really recurrent, to move towards their different activities and that they carry out an urban type tour, that is, without leaving the capital, between neighborhoods, there are approximately 30 seats and when they are occupied, the rest of the passengers must make the trip standing, waiting for some space to return to vacate. Meanwhile, to avoid falls or blows, all buses have grab bars on the seats and on the roof.
