In any process of investigation scientific, the final result is reflected in a research project, in which a novel idea is presented from a methodology.
The three fundamental questions
There are three questions that every research project should answer: what is being researched? Why is research necessary? and how, when and with what resources is the study done?
General aspects of a research project
The first step is to define the issue to be addressed. Normally in any research project a solution to a problem is provided and, therefore, it is a question of delimiting, defining, posing or formulating an initial problem.
A work or a research project is presented as an original study on a topic that presents some difficulty.
In any research project it is necessary to establish what type of study is going to be carried out (there are descriptive, experimental, case studies, etc.).
It is necessary to clearly state what is the main objective of the project and what are the secondary objectives
For an investigation to be valid, it is necessary to determine the study sample (for example, a specific population of a specific territory). On the other hand, a sampling technique must be introduced (for example, probabilistic).
Regarding technical aspects, it is necessary to use scales for measuring variables, which can be qualitative or quantitative. On the other hand, a data analysis plan must be established, reports of evaluation, bibliographic references according to established guidelines, material resources, etc.
Obviously, it is essential that the investigation is based on the scientific method accepted by the scientific community and, at the same time, that there is a theoretical framework definite.
Stages of a research project
In general, the following stages can be established:
1) delimitation of the subject and justification of the project,
2) planning Of the investigation,
3) documentation and field analysis,
4) analysis and interpretation of the data,
5) writing of the brief and
6) final presentation of the project.
