Muslims, as individuals who profess the religious creed of Islam are called, consider that the Qur'an, contains the word of their God, Allah, which was revealed to Muhammad, the most prominent prophet of this belief religious, from Angel Gabriel.
Although during the times of the aforementioned Muhammad, the revelations, for the most part, were transmitted orally or written on the leaves of palm trees, pieces of leather and Even from bones, at the death of Muhammad, back in the year 632, his faithful began to compile these revelations and teachings and transformed them into what we know today as Koran.
Composition
The Quran is divided into 114 azoras, suras or chapters; they do not observe a chronological order
Instead, they appear ordered from highest to lowest, except for the first, which is very short and constitutes the main prayer of Muslims. And each azora is divided into verses or verses; in total the verses of the Quran are 6.236 and consist of omens, miracles or signs.
Regarding the characters that appear in the Koran, many of them also appear in other holy books, Torah and Bible, corresponding to Judaism and Christianity, respectively, so Adam, Noah, Moses, John the Baptist, Abraham and even Jesus himself appear in the pages of the Koran and are identified as Islamic prophets, that is, in relation to the holy books of Judaism and of Christianity, the aforementioned characters have certainly different identifications and attributions, especially Jesus of Nazareth, whom the Koran considers a prophet, and for Christianity is the son of God who became man to save humanity from sin original.
It should be noted that for Muslims, the Qur'an implies the eternal word, therefore its transmission must materialize without any type of change regarding the language original.
In any case, the Qur'an had to be translated into many, many languages, especially by the thousands of believers who speak non-Arabic languages.
Faith and law
Regarding religious obligations, the Qur'an, specifies them between its pages, every good Muslim must pray daily with the character of obligation, recite complete passages of the Koran, fasting, among others.
Beyond the word of Allah that it contains, which constitutes the creed of the Muslim religion, The Qur'an, is the depository of the law Islamic.
Both give this book a transcendental, normative and unpredictable character.
By defining the beliefs of Islam, it establishes its normative framework and, for example, regulates the life of the faithful.
He proposes the belief in Allah as the only god whom he holds responsible for the creation of everything that surrounds him and forces him to respect it, serve it, and handle life with appropriate behavior that does not affect or is an affront against postulates of Allah.
The Koran is very specific in recommending to the faithful to behave in a manner consistent with where they are, to stay away from excesses, to use take care of the goods that God has given them and that they put aside selfishness and assume a role of charity in front of those who need help within their community.
Muslims consider Islam their rule more relevant legal and has the particularity as a religious book to unite aspects such as religion, moral and the right, a question that has not occurred with the other two most famous sacred books such as the Bible and the Torah.
The use of the Quran as a motivator for terrorist attacks
We cannot ignore that the Koran has awakened the most diverse interpretations and in this sense the reference cannot be omitted to jihad, a term that refers to holy war, the effort that Muslims have to make to truly reach To.
Many extremist strands of Islam have used this concept that appears in various passages of the Qur'an to develop in the Today, and for several decades now, tremendous scourges and terrorist attacks against symbols, emblematic places, and people of West.
