The wardrobe is essentially made up of all those suits, dresses and clothes that characterize those who characters of the work in question and that help to generate a more complete idea of ​​what is being representing. Today, the wardrobe is considered such a section important for the representation actor who is always included in awards and honors ceremonies.

From the earliest forms of dramatic representation of history, costumes have always been an essential part of the works or artistic expressions that took place. Since Ancient Greece, artists always had to have some minimal costume detail that matched with the spirit of the character to represent and that will collaborate to generate a more complete idea of ​​the situation fictional. In Modernity, the art of dramatic costumes became more and more complex, creating entire sets of costumes for characters, who had to alternate their dresses numerous times in the same work depending on the situation.

Today, the design costume can alternate between period creations (that is, more or less finished representations of period clothing in which the story is situated) and wardrobe creations that are current but are undoubtedly chosen for some reason in special. The costumes can go unnoticed in the eyes of the spectators. However, its presence is always of great importance even in cases in which we do not speak of a period wardrobe. since it is another element that serves to define the character and allow the viewer to find a meaning to the construction site.

In some cases, period costumes can require impressive investments, in addition to incredible designs and months of work since they are usually very complicated, delicate and artistic. At the same time, the works of theater postmodern women may demonstrate disinterest in costume forms traditional and break with them by dressing their characters in rags and dirty clothes.
