We understand theft to be any act that represents the theft of an item from a person in an illegitimate way or without their agreement or acceptance. Theft is a form of delinquency, perhaps minor, but in any case it means the realization of an illegal act since it implies obtaining something in an incorrect way or without the acceptance of the one from whom the object is taken. Thefts can be carried out in very different and varied ways, although in general these are actions that do not require much logistics or preparation if not, they are exploits of momentary carelessness that the victims have, obviously, without realizing it.

Each country and each region has a legislation specific regarding the theft issue since depending on each place the penalty and punishment may be different. This has to do with the fact that theft is not always considered as serious a crime as others and therefore penalties or punishments that imply imprisonment are not always established. In addition, it is important to note that although most of the time thefts are carried out to take advantage of of the carelessness of another and thus obtain something illegitimately, in some cases thefts have to do with reasons from

force greater, as for example when a person does not have access to the most basic provisions and needs to obtain them in such a way. While this does not serve as justification, it is clear that the cause of the act is not the same in all cases or in comparison with other crimes.

Thefts can often be accompanied by other more serious criminal acts, such as violence, use of weapons, torture, etc. All these acts undoubtedly aggravate the penalty to be applied to the one who commits them since they involve putting in danger other people's lives more obviously.
