The Almonds are one of the largest dried fruits consumption, are the fruit of a tree called almond (Prunus dulcis), of which there are two large groups of varieties which are the soft-shelled almond and the hard-shelled almond.
This dried fruit is widely used toasted, it is included in a wide variety of desserts, in chocolates or can even be used in preparations such as stews and salads.
Nutritional properties of almonds
Almonds are rich in monounsaturated fatty acids, especially oleic acid, which is why they have a large number of calories in a small serving, about 570 calories per 100 grams, they are also rich in protein and carbohydrates. They have a high content of minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium and phosphorus, they are also a source of vitamin E and to a lesser extent proportion of vitamins of group B.
Health benefits of almonds
Almonds are a very valuable food when it comes to providing Energy given their high fat content, this leads them to be present in food products designed for athletes and people with high caloric requirements.
They are also a food that helps prevent the onset of cardiovascular diseases due to the type of fats it contains, in which omega 6 predominates over omega 3. This composition also has a protective effect against various conditions that are associated with the presence of free radicals, including even the aging process.
Almond milk, a popular form of this seed
One way to consume the almond that enjoys great popularity is in the form of milk, which is obtained by processing almonds. previously soaked with water using a blender, after which it is strained through a cloth strainer obtaining its milk.

Another way to use almonds is in its oil form, it is a preparation for external use that can be applied to the skin or hair.

It can also be applied to dry skin due to chronic dermatological conditions such as psoriasis or to dry hair to hydrate it.
