Amber is a type of substance resinous vegetable that over time hardens and can remain in such condition for a wonderful amount of time (having found some pieces of periods before the existence of the human being). Amber is also a type of precious stone that is obtained from the fragmentation and I work with that already hardened substance to make beautiful decorative pendants. Needless to say, it is one of the most expensive gemstones due to the delicate work it requires.
Certain types of trees such as conifers (that is, those that have a cone-shaped crown) produce the substance known as amber. This substance has a yellowish color but is transparent at the same time, depending on how thick it is. Somewhat resinous and somewhat runny, the substance known as amber drifts across the surface exterior of trees and plants that produce it mainly as a protection against possible virus or external elements that can affect their life, more specifically insects. Once in contact with him
oxygen, amber tends to harden slowly and form a hard film on the surface of the vegetable even though it is thin.Amber, unlike other materials used to make precious stones, is of plant origin, not mineral. However, due to its hardening or polymerization process, it can remain the same. quality for a very long time, almost as unflappable as minerals. It interesting of amber is that being transparent, in its vein very different intensities and textures can be observed, as well as different elements that have been trapped inside (for example insects that from that moment remain intact in time, although no longer life, they do not enter a state of decomposition) while the substance rolled across the surface of the tree or plant in question.
