The city of Asunción is the current capital of the South American country of Paraguay, founded in 1537 and therefore being one of the oldest cities in the world. continent. Asunción is located in the southeast of the country and its coasts are bathed by the Paraguay and Pilcomayo rivers. As with other Latin American and world cities, Asunción, being the capital district of the country, is a territory independent who does not share his government with no other region or province of greater size.
