Imagine an everyday and seemingly inconsequential situation: pressing the button on an air freshener so that the house smells good. It is a common fact and if you look at it individually the only consequence is that the house has a pleasant aroma. If that act is multiplied by millions of people and then we think of other similar acts that also multiply, we are faced with a real planetary problem.
There are a whole series of small actions that affect the temperature global planet we live on. The Energy sources, the elimination of waste, the means of transportation and many daily actions cause an increase in the temperature of the planet.
Scientists agree that there is widespread warming. The causes are those that have already been mentioned, although it must also be borne in mind that there are cycles natural (think of glaciations in other periods) that affect temperature levels. The obvious fact is that the planet has been suffering from warming for a few decades and the consequences derived from it are worrying. One of them is the melting of the poles and the consequent rise in sea level. Another consequence is the desertification of some areas or the disappearance of crops.
The main evidence that exists to demonstrate global warming is the decrease or partial disappearance of the ozone layer that surrounds the earth's atmosphere. This layer has the main function of protecting the planet from the direct effects of the sun's rays. If the ozone layer were to disappear completely, life would be unviable and civilization human would be extinct.
The consequences of global warming are already taking place and are manifested in all kinds of situations: contamination of some areas, devastating natural phenomena or some health problems.
The organisms International and environmental movements carry out campaigns to raise awareness among government officials and citizens in general. This awareness-raising task is especially important so that measures are taken to reduce the effects of global warming.
The economy of the planet depends to a large extent on the use of a series of energetic resources and the emission into the atmosphere of gases that these produce are the main factor of global warming. Consequently, human beings are faced with a dilemma: continue to use the same energy sources or incorporate clean energies that have less harmful effects globally.
