Some Indo-European tribes or groups that were located in certain regions are known as Celts. of Europe and that they shared both Celtic languages derived from a common stem as well as traditions, traditions, beliefs and lifestyles. The Celts were traditionally regarded as barbarians In front of the imperial structure of Rome and after its fall and disappearance, they formed several European states that continue to exist to this day.
Despite the fact that Celtic culture is today almost exclusively related to the countries of the British Isles except England, the truth is that the Celts were spread over much of Europe, even being born in the region of central Europe and expanding from there to the north, south, east and west. I know esteem that the first Celtic tribes appeared in the Hallstatt region (Austria) in the Age of Bronze and they were characterized by having an advanced armament development, as well as an impressive metal work. The Celts lived mostly grouped in tribes in which the
boss of the family It was the father, repeating this family organization on a social and political level.Among the most important Celtic groups and that most marked the European countries that currently occupy that space we must mention the Gauls (in France), the Celtiberians (in Spain), the Balkan Celts, and, above all, the Celts of the British Isles such as Ireland, Wales and Scotland.
There is no doubt that the Celtic culture is one of the most wonderful western cultures, maintaining its strong roots in the face of the advancement of other cultures. The Celts underwent an important Romanization process as they were dominated (some of them) by Roman structures. However, as this disappears the traits of Celtic customs such as the training social, metalworking, the warrior spirit, the notion of clans, religious practices and day-to-day customs survived to this day.
