The Second law of Newton states that the acceleration a body takes is proportional to the Force used in moving it, and inversely proportional to its mass, which is slowing it down.
Newton's Second Law lays the foundations of The Dynamics, which is the branch of Physics that studies the motion of objects and their response to forces. Descriptions of motion begin by defining quantities such as displacement, time, velocity, acceleration, mass, and force.
The equality defined by this law is indicated as follows:
The Force to be applied is equal to the mass of the object, multiplied by all the acceleration it takes.
Applied force
It is known that a Force is the agent capable of giving a body an acceleration, or a change in speed. When talking about Applied Force in Newton's Second Law, it can be both a Unique Force, like a System of Forces whose resultant has a value that gets to move the object.
Force is measured in Newton units, equivalent to Kilogram-meter every second squared.
Body Weight
The Weight of a Body is the Force required to move or lift it
. It is calculated with the same equality that occurs in Newton's Second Law, but the acceleration involved is known, and is that of Gravity. Weight is represented by the letter W:Difference from Newton's First Law
The Newton's First Law, what is the Law of inertiaIt also speaks of Forces that act on bodies, but it is about bodies at rest. In the case of Second law of Newton, the bodies have a modification of its movement, since an acceleration is printed on them.
Applications of Newton's Second Law
Newton's Second Law is commonly used to know the acceleration that the body is going to acquire that will be set in motion with a known force, and whose mass is previously known.
However, this Law can be applied to know the weight of the body in question, since the acceleration of gravity that sustains it in the Earth's Gravitational Field is known.
You may even receive the task of calculate body mass, making use of the Weight and Acceleration Gravity, when only that Force and that acceleration intervene. In other cases, it will be more complicated, if the body is also moving by these other influences.

1. When the weight of an object is measured on a scale.
