The term cream is one that is used to designate the preparations or substances of consistency heavier and creamier than milk or other liquids. Cream is a dairy product derived from milk, which is characterized by being more unctuous due to the lost of serum Yet the concentration Of the mattery grease. From this, all substances or products considered creams or creamy get their name by resembling that creamy, unctuous and non-liquid consistency.
Cream (also known as cream) comes from milk. To achieve this, the process involves the separation of two key elements of milk: whey and fat. In the case of dairy products Like cream or cheese, the whey is discarded once separated and this means that, for example, 100 grams of cream have a proportion higher in fat than 100 cubic centimeters of milk. Milk cream always has a appearance white, it has almost no odor nor should it have a very strong flavor, unless it is made from a more concentrated milk such as goat milk.
Milk cream is used in many different ways and in different preparations. It is generally useful for making liquid preparations thicker and more flavorful, both sweet and savory. In this case, the cream is added to other preparations as it is purchased. At the same time, it can also be used as a main element, both in cakes, desserts and other preparations (in mostly sweet since not having too much flavor always needs other ingredients in the preparations salty). Thus, the cream must be whipped or worked to reach the point known as chantilly in which it becomes an even thicker cream, which has lost all quality liquid.
