From an etymological point of view, grace comes from the Latin gratus, which means pleasant or pleasant. The word grace has several meanings. In the first place, it is synonymous with humor and in this sense it speaks of a person with grace or wit to express who is funny and tells things with a humorous touch (if someone does not have this quality it is said that he does not have Grace). At the same time, it equates to elegance or panache (it has a special grace when dancing). In the sphere of right, grace is the pardon that is granted in an exceptional way (for example, the release of a prisoner for a special reason). Lastly, grace has a religious meaning.
Divine grace
The idea of divine grace in Christianity starts from the attitude of God before men, that is, of his unconditional love. God gives men a special gift, grace, since it allows them the knowledge of the supernatural. In other words, the grace that God has given us is the element that allows us to connect our soul with God himself. It could be said that it is a quality that God has deposited in men so that they are enlightened in the
understanding of the supernatural. In this sense, grace is a forcesingular that allows the human being to strengthen his faith and, at the same time, help to avoid sin.In the tradition Christian grace is received through the sacrament of baptism. However, this gift is consolidated in the human soul by fulfilling the sacraments and through prayer. On conclusion, Christian theology presents grace as the way to salvation.
Common expressions
From the outset it must be remembered that the word thank you has the same origin as grace. In fact, in a religious sense there are two possibilities: divine grace and the graces or gifts that God gives us to help us in difficult times.
The irony applied in everyday life
In the everyday use of language there are various contexts in which the word grace is very present. Thus, if something is unpleasant to us, we ironically say “what a funny thing”. When the kids Little ones make cute gestures or make sounds that arouse sympathy is considered to have been a grace. When a person starts an activity, it is important to be pleasant to others and to try to "fall in grace" (there is a saying popular that says that it is better to fall in grace than to be funny).
