Within the general framework of the geopolitics it is very common for nations to create strategic alliances for some purpose. The European Union, NATO or the OAS are some examples that illustrate the creation of supranational cooperation pacts.
In 1964 a large number of underdeveloped and developing countries formalized an alliance, creating an entity known as Group 77 or G-77, as it was originally made up of 77 nations (currently the number rises to 134).
The objective of the agreement was and still is to establish a joint voice in international relations, especially in the deliberations that take place at the UN headquarters. Some of the countries that form this pact are Afghanistan, Algeria, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, China, Egypt, Morocco, Ecuador, El Salvador, Nigeria and Pakistan.

In 2014, the Bolivian president was appointed president of this great alliance. In his speech at the United Nations headquarters, he emphasized two issues: the need to combat poverty and the promotion of peace and cooperation at the international level.
On the other hand, he proposed to advance in the nationalization policies of the strategic sectors and of the natural resources. Finally, he objected to the politics sanctions of the United States against the government of Venezuela and stated that the solidarity among peoples is the best tool to overcome any kind of difficulty. In its intervention he was especially critical of the international financial system.
Likewise, in his speech he did not forget the principles of indigenism, since he emphasized that Mother Earth cannot be attacked with purely predatory criteria and affirmed that the progress of humanity makes sense when it benefits everyone and not just some few
In short, the objective of Evo Morales' reflection was to promote a new world order in which no country or empire becomes dominant.
