Meanwhile, it should be noted that aerodrome and airport are often spoken of almost indistinctly as if both were exactly the same, but they are not. To better understand the issue, it will be better to know what an airport is.
According to the considerations expressed by the organisms international aviation, An airport is in effect an aerodrome that has permanent facilities dedicated exclusively to the transport commercial air. Then, every airport will be an aerodrome, however, an aerodrome, as we mentioned before, implies a question well clear and therefore it will be necessary for us to understand the meanings and then use the concepts in a conforming way that does not lead to confusion.
Aerodromes can be military or civilian.
Currently, large airports have their own paved runways, between one and two kilometers in total length so that airplanes can move with ease and
normal. It is also possible to visualize in them taxiways, cargo terminals and passenger terminals, the parking platform and the hangars of maintenance in which the arrangements that the machines demand will be carried out.
And in airports, in addition, two parts are distinguished, on the one hand, the part air, in which operations fall on the aircraft, trying to cover all the needs that it manifests; and on the land side are all those services intended for passengers and the satisfaction of your needs such as: toilets, restaurants, confectioneries, suitcase packing boxes, among others.
