The word annular can have several different meanings. One of them, perhaps the most common, is the one used to refer to the finger on which the engagement or wedding ring is usually placed. On the other hand, another common meaning of the term annular is one that means to finish, to cancel something abruptly and perhaps unexpectedly.
When we talk about the ring finger, we are referring to the fourth finger of the hand. It is located next to the little finger and the largest finger of the hand. While each finger has features Specific because none of them is the same as the other, the ring finger is easily identifiable since it is used to place the wedding or engagement ring on it. This ring is usually simple in terms of its design, unlike other rings that can be placed on other fingers. The ring finger has traditionally always had this function, regardless of cultures or regions, which is even more marvelous. It is important clarify that the name of ring is given precisely by the fact that this finger carries a ring.
The term annul is also used to refer to the act by which a person can cancel or stop something that could be taking place. For example, a prosecution process can be annulled, a marriage, a promise, a contract of any type. Whenever something is canceled, it is also implying that what is canceled already exists or has already been developed. Depending on the particular situation, of each specific case, the annulment process can be more or less complicated, especially if what is being annulled is something that is already well advanced.
Finally, we can also say that override is used to designate a type of eclipse, perhaps one of the most beautiful, in which the Sun is completely covered by the Moon and can only be watch a little edge of it, almost like the shape of a ring. Hence its name. The annular eclipse can only occur when the Moon is a new moon.
