The English term workshop is translated into Spanish as a seminar, work meeting, course or workshop. Although all these terms are synonymous, it should be noted that a workshop is really a workshop, that is, an activity aimed at learning and in which a series of practical skills are enhanced. While the seminar or congress must be understood as a more theoretical approach, the workshop is eminently practical.

Although it is useful to know these words to understand the world of work, it is evident that there is an exaggerated use of anglicisms. The word workshop is a clear example of this abuse, since the term workshop perfectly expresses the same idea and all speakers understand its meaning.
