When the term Pudiente is used, it refers to someone who enjoys a powerful economic position, which is usually associated with a high situation in the scale Social. In fact, his job it is valid both for particular individuals who have these characteristics and to name the upper social classes.
Specifically, wealthy individuals or wealthy classes are considered to be those who have wealth in such quantity as to more than cover their needs, spend on whims and superfluous things and, even so, have a remnant with which to save money.
Subjectivity of the concept
The term Pudiente does not, however, establish that there must be a minimum number of resources to be included in said category, so it is still a concept with a strong component of subjectivity.
For a employee that he can barely cover his expenses, a person who has enough resources to have a good house, a good car, and travel, can be considered wealthy. However, this person may consider himself only middle class
, and understand that someone wealthy is someone who has several houses and cars, belongs to elite social clubs and has a bank account with many zeros. Therefore, it can be deduced that the classification wealthy is related in a certain way with the subjects that we take as a reference.

What can be considered as an identifying sign of the wealthy classes in general is a certain type of classism. The practice of some sports, such as polo or sailing, that require economic resources Outside the reach of the middle class, they help create this kind of segregation between the elites and those who are not part of them.
This same pattern is repeated in aspects such as education, since it is very common that only these can afford to educate their children in schools and high-cost private universities, thus feeding that gap between the upper classes and the rest of the the society.
In some way it can be considered that for these social classes money is a central element in the classification of people, so that they tend to relate only to people of similar status to yours.
As a result, there are links and affinities between individuals of the same social stratum that give rise to the creation of oligarchies and power structures that are passed from generation to generation.
