In general terms, the word graphic refers to the writing or the printing press and everything related to them.
But also, by graph, we understand the representation of data, almost always numerical, although they can also be figures or signs, through lines, surfaces or symbols to decide the relationship that they maintain with each other.
Meanwhile, it can be a set of points, which will be expressed in Cartesian coordinates and will serve to analyze the behavior of a specific process or a set of signs or elements that allow us to decipher or interpret some phenomenon, among other issues.
We can find different types of graphs, among the most common and common are: numerical ones, used to represent behavior or distribution of the quantitative data of a population. This type of graph is manifested through images visuals. On the other hand, the linear ones will represent the values in two orthogonal Cartesian axes to each other. More than anything, this type of graph is recommended when having to represent series over time, because it allows to show maximum and minimum values of a question.
Another type are bar graphs, which will be used when you want to highlight the representation of percentages that refer to a total. What bars allow is the representation of frequencies and can be plotted in the sense horizontal or vertical, generally, to represent the bar graphs the so-called sheets are used calculation.
Then there are the circular graphs that will allow us to observe those internal distributions of data that represent a fact, also in the form of percentages over a total. According to the interest of what you want to highlight, what you do is separate the sector corresponding to the highest or lowest value. And finally, histograms, another type of very common graph, which will be used when you want to represent samples grouped in intervals. It is formed by rectangles joined to each other, whose vertices of the base must coincide with the limits of the intervals.
On the other hand, the word graphic is also used to refer when in a certain situation one wants to realize that someone expresses himself with great clarity, almost with the same clarity as a He drew.
