Example of Verbal Periphrasis

It has been called verbal periphrase or verbal phrase to a construction in the sentence that is done by means of verbs, where two or more verbs are used to to be able to explain the action or actions of the subject, being auxiliary verbs those that make up the periphrasis verbal.

Thus with these periphrasis we obtain information from the subject, which explains aspects such as:

1. Start of action
2. Intent of the subject
3. Duration of action
4. Action process
5. Course of action and
6. End of the action.

Basically this verbal construction explains everything the subject does and everything is related to the main verb.

Construction of the verbal periphrasis:

There are two types of construction of the verbal periphrasis and which have their respective subdivisions:

1.- Aspect periphrasis (aspectual)

• Reiterative Aspects
• Durative
• Egressives
• Habitual or Customary
• Inchoative
• Income
• Redundant
• Resultative
• Terminatives

2.- Mode periphrasis (modal)

• Obligation
• Possibility
• Probability or doubt

Example of verbal periphrasis of aspect (aspectual):

1. AspectsReiteratives.- In this periphrasis the action is repeated only once
   I shall have collection table.
   May l keep cooking food.
   Only I can go wet the clothes.
   Without stealing things.
   
2. Durative.- These indicate the actions that are being developed at the moment.
   Me I'm sleeping at this time.
   His you're crying at my place.
   It seems that is praying in someone else's house.
   He he is buying food.
   
3. Egressives.- These expose us to an action that stops.
   Ernesto stopped studying on day.
   The rain stopped falling after two p.m.

4. Habitual or customary.- This means that they happen constantly.
   The family eat cereal, every day
   Workers they wear a helmet when they work.

   The students they study lessons in high school.
   
5. Inchoative.- These tell us what is starting at that time.
   The boy is sleeping at this time.
   The exam it is starting now.

6. Income.- These show us an action that is about to begin.

7. Redundant.- They are those who take an action before interrupted.
   After eating I'll keep cleaning home.

8. Resultative.- This indicates the result of an action or its consequence.

9. Terminatives.- These are the ones that tell us about something projected and concluded.

Examples of mode periphrasis (modals):

1. Obligation.- They establish something that must or has to do or happen.
   Today I have to finish the job.

   I know must pay the light and the telephone.
   
2. Possibility.- Establishes the possibility of something happening.
   If they pay i would buy a phone new cellphone.
   If I approve they would give a guitar electrical.
   For buying it I would win a cell phone.
   
3. Doubt or probability.- Establishes the possibility of a result.
   It seems to be the last week of the promotion.
   Seems to be the last box.
   They may be Eleven o'clock at night.
