The main and direct meaning of the term relaxation is the decrease or disappearance of the tension. In this way, the notion of relaxation can be applied to various circumstances, elements or situations as long as that condition of disappearance of tension occurs. This can be understood both on a physical level, bodily, emotional, psychological, political, etc.
One of the most common uses of the term relaxation is that which has to do with entering a state of comfort and pleasure both body and mental. In this sense, the relaxation of a person can be achieved from the development of certain activities such as yoga or other physical activities but also from actions of meditation and rest mental. Relaxation of both the mind and the body is very important when it comes to quality of life as the stressful and hurried lives we lead today contribute greatly to the development of unsatisfying lifestyles.
Relaxation is also a property physical that applies to some elements under certain circumstances. Thus, when an element loses the quality of tension it enters the opposite state or relaxation. This is visible for example in the case of an elastic band that can be stretched and when released, it returns to its natural or relaxed state. But this opposition between relaxation and tension can also occur in non-elastic elements, for example the
metal: in this case, the tension causes the metal to transform its properties and that they are not the same as when it is in a state of relaxation.Finally, using the same meaning of the word, relaxation in times of tension is a phenomenon that can occur when you are in the presence of a conflict or fight between two parties.
