Currently designated as the largest and most extensive country on the planet, Russia is undoubtedly one of the major world powers not only because of their political and economic power but also because of their only identity. Russia stands in many ways as the opposition to the West but maintains with it at the same time certain ties, which is why this country becomes for many something completely enigmatic and fabulous.

Russia stretches between two continents: while the western section of the country is part of Europe, the eastern section (the largest of all) is part of Asia. Because of this, it shares borders with countless European and Asian countries. For the most part, the territory Russian is not inhabited mainly due to climatic difficulties and this added to the fact of its double identity, make Russia a completely peculiar place. This has to do with how the weather, extremely cold and harsh due to the northern location of Russia, affects the identity and

attitude from a town. The capital city of Russia, the most beautiful city of Moscow, is located in the European zone of Russia.

It goes without saying that the history of Russia has always been that of a people in struggle with those neighbors who represented a threat. Thus, it is to this day that both internal and external conflicts are present in the Russian reality. Facts like the amazing Revolution 1917 or the Cold War have definitely marked the history not only of Russia but of the entire world and have placed this country in the public eye.

In Russia we find about one hundred and sixty different ethnic groups, although the Russian is the most important group. In addition, the Russian religion is officially Orthodox Christianity, although freedom of worship is granted to its inhabitants.
