Verbal Voice Example

The verbal voice, also called the grammatical voice, consists of the manifestation in the syntax or morphology of how a verb can imply different states or relationships according to the way in which the subject and objects.

These participants of the discourse (subject and object) are known as arguments, and are demanded by the verb of the sentence: the verb requires the presence of a subject that is linked to the action and of objects on which the action (direct object) or, well, objects that are the beneficiaries of the action (indirect object).

The verbal voice, then, refers to the fact that the same verb can express different relationships or ideas between the subject and the objects. There are in particular two types of voices or relationships that can be established: active voice and passive voice. Let's see what they consist of.

Active voice
