The word collapse always means abrupt fall of certain constructions or geological forms. Imitating the idea, the word is also used in the field of politics Or the economy to refer to the abrupt decline of certain economic activities or political groups due to crisis of various kinds. Normally, due to its quality abrupt and unexpected, the collapse, whatever its type, usually causes numerous damages both material and human or even intellectual, emotional or psychological (in case the term is used symbolically).
A collapse always supposes the fall of something or some phenomenon. The most common use of this word is when it refers to the fall of some edification or training geological such as mountains or hills. Landslides of this type are usually very violent and involve a great deal of danger for those people or animals that are in the vicinity since the material that made up them is scattered in a chaotic and disorderly way on the new surface.
The collapses of constructions such as buildings can be caused by failures in the way they have been built or by damage caused by external agents. The collapse of the Twin Towers caused by the violent irruption of planes is an example clear since the disorder that it generated caused the subsequent fall or collapse of the buildings close. In the case of collapses of mountains or hills, these are usually caused by internal geological movements, of the tectonic plates that move and cause alterations in the
land surface. When the word collapse is used metaphorically, it refers to the fall or arrest of certain activities or the growth of others. These landslides are not concrete but rather symbolic, although they can also generate numerous damages and complications.
