Definition of Disk Defragmenter

The disk defragmenter or specifically a disk Defragmenter is a program used to optimize the HDD and make this work properly. Avoid with your work that the hard disk works excessively and that therefore, we can lose our valuable data stored in our Unit storage. The disk defragmenter cannot by itself prevent our disk from breaking, although it can lengthen its useful life considerably.

Our hard drive is ready to put the files in a certain order. When the disk has little data there is not much problem. However, as time goes by, our files become delocalized. By this we mean that the data in a file are not all together so that the disk can read them at once. An example of tracked data would be a song.

If you have a file that is divided into several parts, scattered within the disk drive, this drive is going to have to go around more than normal to access the data in this file in question. It will also work more, with the consequent wear and tear on the storage unit. Over time all the files are relocated, because when we save them we cannot specify in which part of our unit, we want to save our data. Our album therefore keeps them where it can and takes good

note to know where they are.

The mission of the disk defragmenter is clear then. First: collect information on where each file is on the drive storage or hard disk and calculate the necessary space within our storage unit where each program can go (the calculation it is done by the processor by program order). Second: to host the programs on the site where it was calculated that they could be together and convert it into continuous data, so that the reader of our unit does not have to go from one place to another.

A drive without defragmenting, could be compared to having to leave purchases to several places and go first to the one that is further away and then to the one that is closest. Has no sense. The logical thing would be to go first, taking a walk to the closest one, then the next, until we complete our objective. We can see that with the first way of shopping it would take much longer and we would make a considerable effort, in comparison with the second. We can see that a defragmented disk reads the files as if they were songs on a disk.
