Football fans know the meaning of the acronym UEFA, which stands for Union of European Football Associations (in Spanish Union of European Football Associations). It is a body that brings together the set of European football federations and which, in turn, is one of the entities of FIFA, the body that represents world football.
UEFA's main functions
This supranational body has the mission of organizing a series of competitions, the main ones being the Champions League (the old European Cup), the Super Cup UEFA, the Europa League, as well as championships with less media coverage (for example, the Under-21 European Championship, the Women's European Championship or the European Football Championship Room).
Some of UEFA's functions are as follows:
1) establish the regulations and the schedule of matches for each competition,
2) regulate normative medical type,
3) establish the disciplinary regime and a whole series of technical aspects that affect the training of coaches, anti-doping control of footballers or financing of their own entity.
The Champions League, the legendary UEFA competition
