The term Unitary refers to that of the unit, which is related to it, or failing that, which has unity, which naturally has the same.
While, by unit it designates the property that every being possesses and that implies that it cannot be divided without its essence being altered or destroyed by this situation. Also, unity supposes singularity, both in number and in quality.
On the other hand, the word Unitary observes a special significance within the Argentine historical context, since in this way one of the most prominent political parties of the 19th century in the aforementioned country has been called.
The Unitary Party was a group politics of liberal tendency that proposed among its bases the need to establish in the country a government centralized, which at that time was known as the United Provinces of the Río de la Plata.
