    How To Make A Speech

    Spanish Classes   /   by admin   /   July 04, 2021

A speech is a prolonged thought or reasoning expressed by one or more individuals. Represents an oral presentation and is generally directed towards one or more people. They are made up of three fundamental points: the subject of the speech, the presenter and the audience.
The previous stage of the speech is also important, that is, its correct elaboration to achieve the desired ends. Let's see an example of a previous study of a speech.

How to make a speech? Steps to make it:

1.- What do we want to achieve with our speech?

We have to be clear about the final objective of the speech.
    Sample responses:
Let the audience vote for me as President.
That the auditorium make donations for the Hurricane football club.
Let the audience buy warm clothes for the orphaned children of Lima, Peru.
That the audience agrees on the development of the project.

2.- What words will clearly convey the theme of the speech?

The name or title of the speech must attract attention and be easy to understand. You must also engage the interest of individuals so that they can easily identify you.

    Sample responses:
    The President we all want.
Let's all help with donations to the Hurricane club.
Let's collaborate with the Public School of the city.

3.- How did the speech end?

A final thought is always important at the end of the speech. It is also important to motivate listeners for a certain task to be carried out.
    Sample responses:
Let's help the little ones in Villa Miseria!
Support Sebastián Abreu as the new Managing Director!
Keep helping with the same effort and commitment!

    4.- Sorting the ideas

Always in a speech some topics are more important than others, so we will have to establish a proper order. It will have to be sorted from its problems to its possible solution.
Example of order in a speech:
Problematic: due to the poor performance of the children's home, the children are sick and do not attend school.
Solution: The best thing will be to get enough money for the best health care of the little ones and their immediate return to studies.

    5.- Developing the Introduction
The question that we have to ask ourselves here would be how to anticipate the topic of the speech? In the previous point we already defined the order so we must use it to make an interesting introduction. Its length has to depend on the time we have for the presentation of the speech.
    Examples of speech introductions:
First we will analyze the problem of ...
Second, we will point out the best solutions for ...
As a first point we detail the damages of ...
As a second point, let's study the most convenient for ...

    6.- The first sentences
It is also necessary to establish the first words to use, which will help us to achieve maximum attention from the listeners. A speech with important "first words" can arouse the interest of everyone present.
Examples of first words to use:

Three things are fundamental for the project are !!!
How would you react if your little one's school doesn't have one ???

    7.- Farewell greeting
The final greeting or farewell is something that is left to the discretion of each speaker. It is an option that is sometimes necessary and sometimes not so much, depending on the discourse and the audience. In any case, if used, it must be clear, precise and short, a very long greeting can have negative effects on the speech.
    Examples of speech greetings:
Friends, thank you very much for your time and have a very good evening!
Ladies and gentlemen, I appreciate your presence and have a very good afternoon!

    8.- The speech rehearsal
The practice and rehearsal of all the speeches is essential. In addition, it is also very positive to rehearse it before a tape recorder and then analyze the possible mistakes made. The use of a stopwatch for the test is also important.
