When we speak of simulation we are referring to those acts that are based on the simulation of a real situation either to recreate it and review what happened or to prevent them and know how to act before they. Normally, the term drill refers to preventive actions that can be carried out in different institutions or that can develop various organisms like firefighters, the policeman, the services of Health thus projecting itself before the possibility of situations of emergency that require a great organization and previous logistics. Drills can be events involving many people, even non-professionals, as well as being reduced to participation only from such professionals.
The word simulacrum generally means imitation or simulation of something, copying something in a certain way. Simulation is a attitude that anyone can take in different situations to calm certain interests, being in some cases positive and in others not so much since it implies a certain lack of truth. Simulation is, for example, what artists such as actors and actresses do who play a fictional role and they seek to make their audience believe (through different methods) that for a while they are that person or that fictitious individual.
The drill is in most cases, understood as what is done when organizing a certain event in which the various institutions and organizations of a region act to solve a emergency. Drills are often done to measure issues such as the organization time required, the most suitable methods to obtain the best results in less time, the commissioning of a system articulated of communication between the different parties, etc. Drills are common in schools and other public buildings as well as in large buildings, in training systems. transport urban, etc.
