Definition of Free Software

Free software is software that can be used without having to pay an amount of money to any entity. The free software has a close relationship with that software called de code open although certainly the concepts are different and refer to different situations. The free software has existed since the beginning of computing, but it achieved a more than finished development when the Internet. Today it is possible to find different types of applications for different types of activities, many of which are as useful as those that require payment; in this sense the free software seems to evolve with the same velocity which payment software does, always integrating new possibilities for the benefit of users.
Free and effective
The free software it is related to open source software due to the fact that the latter continuously generates variants that are free of charge. It can be said that in general open source software is free, that is, it can be used by anyone, but not always the
free software it is open source. Indeed, there are free variants of software that are closed source, that is, they block the possibility of third parties modifying it. Circumstances such as those described occur especially when companies with commercial software send the public a free, trimmed sample of a product with more specifications.There are programs for all types of orientation in a free variant. Perhaps the most important of all is the operating system and in this sense it is possible to find variants of Linux that can cover any need you have. Linux has remained a more than accessible operating system for all those who want to keep up with margin of payment programs, adapting to the times in a more than interesting way. Of all the distributions that exist, some are optimized for the use of a neophyte person and there are also for them a maintenance regular and long-lasting, in the same way as would be the case with commercial software. An example in this regard can be offered by Ubuntu, distribution maintained by Canonical.
As we can see, the free software offers a more than interesting alternative for all daily needs. Until recently it was limited to desktop computers, but today there is a wide variety of software of these characteristics for devices such as smartphones and for tablets.
