The term favor has different meanings that can be used in different situations as well as with different meanings. In most cases, the concept of favor has to watch with a selfless and altruistic action that seeks to grant satisfaction to a third party. The favor is usually requested and complying with it always implies an act of collaboration with the interest of someone else.

At the same time, it implies a certain lost of the comfort or effort on the part of the person who performs it. The favor can many times be represented by concrete elements and many other times by specific actions and attitudes.

Another of the features meanings of the word is when it refers to a characteristic feature or element of a person. A favor is something that distinguishes a person and makes them unique, for example a physical feature such as light-colored eyes, a pointed nose, or black hair. A person's favors can also be part of his personality or way of being, that which is not seen in the physical but that is demonstrated in the behavior.

Finally, we can comment on the notion of 'being favored'. It assumes that a person is benefited by a certain situation and hence also the meaning positive with which in most cases it is related to the word 'favor'.
