A file or file is a real or virtual system for organizing information through a classification determined.
A set of information classified and stored in various ways is called a file for its conservation and easy access at any time.
A file can be a system of physical files contained in boxes or other items of storage that are part of a larger set such as a public or private library or archive. Often times, the file uses a common taxonomy or classification system for all its contents that allow searching for specific data quickly and easily. The most common is the alphabetical order by concept or author, but the information can also be classified according to subject areas, by chronological order or other criteria depending on the information contained in the file.
On computing, a file or file is also a set of information that is stored in virtual form to be read and / or accessed through a computer.
The storage and classification possibilities are much richer in a computer system, since the information does not occupy a physical space and, therefore, it is possible to keep millions of data in a very small. You can even save information about
In turn, the system tends to automatically organize the information taxonomically, allowing the user to find it by simply entering keywords in a seeker specific, which supposes a fast and useful operation when the stored information is multiple. In turn, computer systems usually replicate physical files and, thus, organize content in folders and subfolders created and managed by the user that are located in the internal disk and that can be opened by means of direct accesses arranged in the virtual desktop of the computer.
