Movement of people from one country or region to another for social, economic or family reasons
Migration is called the process by which individuals move from one geographic area to another, generally from that of their native origin to another that offers them a better option or special alternative to their situation.
This can respond to an infinite number of reasons, although the most frequent are economic and social, better opportunities in this regard and there are also some Personal circumstances such as family and partner motivations, for example, our husband receives a promotion at his work and this implies moving to another country.
In turn, migration entails a series of consequences, including, of course, also those of an economic and social nature. This has meant that many governments around the world worry to avoid the negative consequences of this phenomenon and capitalize on it in their favor.
They are produced since the most ancient times
Migrations have been corroborated since the dawn of humanity
and they have been part of the most relevant historical processes in the history of humanity. Indeed, from ancient cultures, where the wars of conquest brought with it the formation of colonies, passing through the colonization of America, until the current migration to first world countries, there have always been these large flows associated with important processes historical. That is why it is necessary to get a notion of these phenomena to analyze and understand the companies in which they are registered. The current migratory processes are closely linked to the Industrial Revolution. In effect, it introduced technical changes that made it possible to travel long distances in a short period of time. It also caused the machinery to replace considerable workforce, causing large masses of people to move in search of an area in which to work and live. An example of the latter is offered by the European immigration at the beginning of the 20th century to America, immigration carried out mainly by poor Europeans.
Meanwhile, a similar situation but with the crossed destiny has materialized in recent decades from America and towards Europe, with the decision of thousands and thousands of Latin Americans who decide to leave their countries due to the lack of work and opportunities and saw precisely in European countries, more organized and better positioned in this regard, a good alternative.
Migration today. Better living conditions and war, the causes
Nowadays, there are also patent immigration processes, visible in the media communication. The most notable is the influx of individuals from the Third World towards the central countries, a situation that has generated concern in some governments. However, it is a phenomenon that is difficult to stop and one that they better know how to use to their advantage.
The sad reality of Syrian migrants
And another escalation of mass migration that caused special attention and commotion throughout the world is that of Syrian citizens overwhelmed by the violence and the war in his country. In hordes they decided to get on precarious boats to flee to Europe, and of course, that precarious travel generated tragedies that traveled the world through the mass media, such as the small Syrian Aylan Kurdi who became the saddest icon of this current problem, when the boat in which he was traveling together to its family he was adrift and he ended up dead on the shores of the beach in Libya. A raw image that nobody wanted to see but ended up generating conscience and getting Europe to leave a rigid position and better organize the opening of its doors to the Syrians who were arriving.
Kurdi's family overwhelmed by the war established by the Islamic State got on a boat and the kids Aylan and his brother Galip were drowned when the boat turned over and they weren't wearing life jackets. They intended to reach Greece.
