It is said that something or someone is exquisite when it presents some quality of great value. This adjective is used mainly in two contexts, in the gastronomy And in the social relationships. In Spanish there are several synonyms with an equivalent meaning, such as tasty, delicious, appetizing, fine or delicate.
In gastronomy
Whatever food we eat, we can rate it in many ways. The flavor is, logically, the parameter that allows us to evaluate the quality of a plate, but there are also other indicators, such as the appearance or aroma that the food gives off.
If we want to give a very positive assessment of a food, we will say that it is exquisite. With this qualifier we express that it is an exceptional dish, that is to say, very tasty and that produces pleasure.
As a general criterion, exquisite dishes are those that are prepared with care, with the right ingredients and following the correct preparations. In this sense, handcrafted products or expertly cooked dishes are examples of exquisite meals.
Some drinks can also be valued as exquisite. Who have a criterion professional about certain drinks are the experts. Thus, a barista is a specialist in high-quality coffee, a winemaker is a professional specializing in wines, and a good mixologist has to know how to distinguish the exquisiteness of a cocktail.
The British gentleman is the prototype of the individual with an exquisite treatment
In personal treatment there is a wide range of behaviors, from the most correct to the most vulgar. If a person is extremely polite, respectful and kind, it can be said that he is someone with exquisite treatment. Obviously, the opposite behavior is characterized by a language vulgar, absence of education and one conduct not very friendly.
The British gentleman is a man who dresses elegantly and with very distinguished manners. Another of his characteristics is his good manners in all kinds of situations. A true gentleman cannot yell at a discussion or get nervous.
He is someone who takes care of the details and who respects the rules of courtesy. In popular parlance, someone is said to be "a true gentleman" when he incorporates all these characteristics into his everyday life.
In the world of fiction there are multiple examples of characters with exquisite treatment and manners. Among them, we can highlight two: the Great Gatsby and James Bond. The first is an enigmatic businessman, with a very friendly social relationship and with great elegance in the way he dresses. James Bond also has exquisite manners: he likes to wear a tuxedo and distinguished dress, he is kind to everyone and never loses his role.
