From the strictly geographical point of view, a mountain is an elevation of the land. Its height is higher than that of a simple hill but less than that of a Mountain. Despite this difference, in practice mountains and mountains are used interchangeably.

Forest management

The territories and the forest mass of the mountains are normally managed by public entities. Through them, norms and ordinances are established to regulate the economic, social and environmental aspects related to the forest environment.

Today the concept of sustainable management has been coined. In this sense, for a forest area to be sustainable, two requirements must be met: that the natural resources remain stable and that the forest mass can assimilate the emission of possible residues.

The management of resources forestry includes hydrological and landscape aspects and, very especially, everything related to biodiversity of species. The professionals who are dedicated to this type of task are, logically, the forestry engineers. Its activity covers all kinds of aspects: reforestation, studies of

fauna and flora, forest pests, erosion of the I usually, topographic assessments, etc.

The idea of ​​mount is expressed in different ways

A small elevation of the terrain is known as a mound, also called a hill, hill or hill. If the elevation of the terrain is more pronounced, we already speak of mountains, which can be low, medium or high. A mountain is normally taller than a mountain but less than a peak. The lowest point between two mountains is known as col. The groups of mountains are called sierras or cordilleras. As can be seen, the same geographical phenomenon presents very different terms.

Activities in the bush

Since ancient times the mount has been considered as a place singular, since normally their lands did not have an owner but belonged to the community and for this reason there was talk of communal mountains.

The mountain has been and is a grazing place for cattle. On the other hand, it is possible to carry out all kinds of tasks, such as felling trees, collecting cork or resin. Hunters go inside them to get game pieces. It is a place frequented by walkers, fans of flora or mushrooms.
