The little location Treblinka is located seventy kilometers from Warsaw, the capital of Poland. The name of this place has gone down in history because for two years the Germans established one of the Nazi death camps in this area to murder millions of Jews.
The Treblinka death camp was part of Operation Reinhard, the code term used by the Nazis to refer to the Jewish holocaust.
The Treblinka facilities were operational from the summer of 1942 to the end of 1943
It is estimated that between 700,000 and 900,000 Jews died during this time period. These figures also include gypsies, homosexuals, German dissidents and Spanish republicans.
The method used to assassinate is the well-known gas chamber system
However, the survivors of Treblinka have left testimonies of all kinds of cruelties. In this sense, the gold pieces were torn from their teeth from the dead, they experimented with different methods of murder and there are constancy of which thousands of kids they were also executed.
In the summer In 1943 a group of Jewish prisoners rebelled against the camp leaders. Their objective was twofold: razing the Treblinka facility and allowing prisoners to escape. The prisoners organized the escape when they heard of the defeat of the German army at Stalingrad. The rebellion began favorably for the prisoners, as they had obtained weapons from a stock and the Treblinka facility began to catch fire. Despite initial success, the prisoners who fled were easily captured because they did not know the surrounding area.
When the Treblinka facilities were abandoned, the Nazis burned all the documentation related to their atrocities, and the Treblinka grounds were converted into a zone of culture. This fact has been a perfect alibi for Holocaust deniers. Despite the fact that no evidence of their crimes was found, the survivors and a small group of escaped prisoners were able to leave their testimony of what happened there.
The death camp was camouflaged
The killing machinery that the Nazis put into March it couldn't be in sight. In the case of Treblinka, the barbed wire used was coated with branches green and in this way the field could be confused with a cultivation area like any other.
