The index of human developmentwhich is also spread through its acronyms HDI it's a indicator that the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) elaborates on the indicator of human development by nation and that is based on three parameters such as: health, education and wealth.
Basically, this statistical indicator allows gathering information on the prevailing standard of living in a given country, given that the It also analyzes the location of individuals at the center of development, their potential developments and the development potential of each one.
Meanwhile, the most relevant and adjusted publication that exists precisely on human development in this or that nation is the one that provides the Report World Annual on Human Development.
The UNDP, which was created in 1965 and which operates in 177 countries, has the mission of promoting improvement in the quality of life of people around the world and that is why the aforementioned report has been published since 1990 and also deals with connecting knowledge, experiences and
resources so that the people can have a better life.It should be noted that until 1990, when this index was created, development was only measured from economic growth, although of course, this number was nonexistent. way was corresponding and that is why the need arose to create the index that concerns us to provide an accurate measure of what human development is like in each nation.
Because, as we indicated above, this index not only takes into account economic income but also issues such as health and education.
The conduct of censuses and the statistics that result from them is that it is possible to know reliably issues such as: life expectancy at birth, the level of literacy of the population adult, attendance at different levels of education, primary, secondary and university, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per individual.
So, all this information facilitates the knowledge of human development in each country.
In the last report published, it was known that the countries with high human development are, among others: Norway, Australia, United States, Netherlands, Germany, New Zealand, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland, Japan, Canada, in order from highest to least high.
