The name or noun is the core of the subject, and the words that delimit, indicate, describe or expand its meaning are its complements. There are three types of complements of the name: the adjoint, the juxtaposed and the prepositional.
TheAttached complements are all the words that serve to clarify, delimit or expand the noun and that go on to form together with the name, an expressive unit, that is, a single syntactic structure.
The complements of the name or noun are the following:
Determinants. They are the articles, indefinite, quantitative, possessive or demonstrative adjectives, which serve to delimit the name:
The home.
A home.
Two houses.
That home.
Me home.
Predeterminants. They are determinants that are written before other determinants to further specify the subject, that is, it is a double predetermining structure:
The other home.
Those two houses.
All my home.
Adjacent. They are the qualifying adjectives that are written attached (before or after) to the name, and that provide or specify the meaning of the name. When more than one adjacency is used, they are separated by commas and conjunctions:
A old woman home
Home ancient
That house white, small and pretty
The juxtaposed plugins, Juxtaposed noun phrases or appositionsThey are constructions that have a noun as their nucleus and their function is to clarify and specify the identity of the subject; they are written immediately after the name they modify. They are substantive constructions that are only separated from the rest of the noun by writing between commas:
Carmen, Antonio's mother,…
Benito Juarez, the worthy of the Americas,…
Miguel Hidalgo, the father of the country,…
The prepositional complements, which many authors identify as the name complements As such, they are also nominal constructions, that is, they have a name as their nucleus, and they join the name that is the subject's nucleus, complementing its meaning. Their characteristic is that they are always connected by a preposition:
Strawberries with cream
Toys Of the dog
The doll of the girl
The White Horse Napoleon's
Book for the blind
