Subordinate conjunctions are those conjunctions that join two sentences and create a relationship of subordination between them. Remember that conjunctions are a class of invariable words that have the function of linking two or more grammatical elements. Conjunctions can be subordinate or coordinators, depending on whether they create subordination or coordination relationships.
The subordination It occurs when there is a grammatical relationship in which one syntactic element depends on another. One of the parts is the main one and another of the parts is the secondary one and depends on the first one. So, when there is a subordination relationship, each grammatical element has a different hierarchy.
