The Bambusoideae is the formal name given to a sub family of plants that in turn belong to the Poaceae family, one of the most widespread in the world and used by man, meanwhile, bamboo is the popular name by which we all know this sub family.
Bamboo is rather a small plant that does not usually exceed one meter in height, although there are exceptions of giant bamboos that exceed that average. It presents light and extremely resistant rods that can be used for various uses, the most prominent of which are: the manufacturing of furniture and paper.
It is a characteristic species of tropical regions and with the exception of Europe it is possible to find it naturally in the rest of the continents.
So, due to the various uses that are given to it, it is that in some parts of Europe where its development was not common, it was decided to incorporate its culture as an option when having renewable resources. For example, in Spain, in 2012, its cultivation was promoted to create
Energy. Also other places on the planet like Australia and United States they further extended their presence.On the other hand, bamboo is a plant that has contributed decisively in the life and development of various civilizations. For example, Asian culture has used bamboo in the most diverse ways, in building, in papermaking, instrument making music and cloth, medicine, and even the feeding. It is also important to mention that hyper-recognized brands in the world, such as Apple and Toyota, use the bamboo plant to replace some components of their products in order to attribute them to the same qualities of this herbaceous species.
On the other hand it is called economy bamboo to that sector of the economy that is supported precisely by the exploitation of bamboo and its transformation into products.
The trunk of the bamboo is used a lot at the request of the construction of houses, support and framework of the roofs, of bridges and water mills. Also, bamboo is widely used to make tables and chairs that will later be highly resistant if placed outdoors. And once converted into pulp, it is used to make paper that will be used in newspaper publishing, in cardboard manufacturing.
