The concept of execution designate in our language the performing some action or task. Then, as long as this or that action is carried out effectively, it can be called in terms of execution. The execution of the work is in charge of a civil engineer hired by the state. The execution that MarĂa carried out was not the correct one and now her boss entrusted the task to another colleague.
However, the concept also admits other very specific uses, in contexts such as theright and the art.
In the judicial field it is undoubtedly where we hear this word the most since it is called execution to the provocation of the death of a person sentenced to the death penalty, in the states where this punishment is authorized of course.
Normally the execution of this type is the consequence of having committed a very serious crime such as rape, murder, among the most common. Meanwhile, justice and according to the law The current law establishes how that execution will be: electric chair, lethal injection, among other variants.
It is worth noting that around this punishment there are countless voices against and controversies, especially by those who are in favor of the reeducation of the offender in the jail. But beyond this, the penalty continues to be applied according to those places where it is endorsed.
It is also important that we mention that this method of execution has been used repeatedly throughout history, not on inmates but on those who dared think or express himself differently from the authorities. A madness that certainly slowed down with the bill of rights and the arrival of the democracy. In any case, in some parts of the world it is still a common action, unfortunately.
On the other hand, the concept also applies in those cases in which a criminal kills his victim at point-blank range.
And in another vein but also in the field of law, the concept of execution is used to designate the compliance mandatory and at force of some obligation contracted and that was not respected and complied with in a timely manner.
For example, the payment of a debt and then what justice does is, if there are any, seize the assets from the debtor and then auction them and with that money pay the creditor.
