Definition of Tax Evasion

The concept of tax evasion It is widely used in our language and in the tax area since it designates that illegal action, maneuver, through which a taxpayer hides his income or certain assets, from the eyes of the tax collecting agents, with the mission of paying less taxes. Because of course, as provided by any politics tax: higher income and provision of substantial material goods, the greater the tax burden that the taxpayer must pay for them.
Of course, tax evasion, also called tax evasion, constitutes a serious crime and as such has a punishment that will be tax by the competent authorities. Obviously the more important the tax offense that has been committed, the greater the punishment that will be imposed.
As a consequence of this evasion action, what is popularly known as black money will be generated, which is the money that results: or from the practice of activities illegal, such as theft, kidnapping, sale of drugs, among others, or failing that, due to the aforementioned, for carrying out commercial maneuvers that are not declared before the treasury.
On the other hand, that black money will always be handled in an effective way, that is, it will not be banked through an account because that way it would enter the Finance system and therefore it would be whitewashed and the commission of tax evasion.
Once the black money product of a tax evasion action is laundered, it will be known of the state and this will trigger the imposition of a tax penalty if the done.
Although in the last decades the states have reinforced controls and also punishments against those who carry out this type of actions illegal, it is clear that they are also a reality and even today with so much control over they continue to occur, and in some parts of the world to great scale.
And finally, it is important to point out that the major victims of these maneuvers are the citizens of a state because that money that is not collected will be lacking when maintaining the education and public health, among other issues.
