This feeling is designated with the term of nostalgia, almost always accompanied by a strong hint of sadness or grief, which is produced or materialized in an individual when the memory of some well or lost loved one, who is gone or from some past moment that of course will not return to succeed.
For example, if adolescence was for us that stage of the life in which he was happier or more enjoyed, surely, when some memory of that moment emerges, either because on the radio they are spending a theme that characterized that time and that we listened to until we spent it, then, there it develops in us, especially in our spirit, the feeling of nostalgia that will lead to a tear, an accomplice smile with someone else who has shared that special moment, among others possible manifestations.
But on the other hand, nostalgia is not only reduced to missing some moment or time of our lives or someone we loved and unfortunately he is no longer with us, but It is also usually a recurring feeling among those people who for different reasons had to leave their homeland and settle in another place. Situations of exile as a consequence of some persecution politics, better economic possibilities or job opportunities elsewhere, are usually the most by which a person must settle in another geographical place different from the one of origin and that lack of membership to that place in some sense, added to the memories and the appearances of situations that remind them of that past is what causes nostalgia.
From what we mentioned it is clear that nostalgia almost always occurs when we remember something very precious that no longer we have and that on top of it is enhanced because that thing or person that was so idealized at the time and that idealization increased with the to run weather.
While nostalgia is far from being considered a disease, it, on many occasions, may be accompanied by some manifestation physical such as tightness in the chest, lump in the throat, pain in the stomach and one sensation of despair.
On the other hand, we can also meet the chronically nostalgic, to call them in some way, which are those who consider that always in all aspects, the past was much better than the present, although this is not really So.
